I am so sorry to hear of the death of Dick. The passing away of a loved one is always with much sorrow. May we have faith and confidence in the Bible’s promise of a time when pain, sickness and death are a thing of the past (Revelation 21:3, 4). My condolences are with the family at this difficult time.

Dick truly was a blessing to anyone he met. I was blessed to know him my whole life. From fishing at Basslake in Michigan with his daughters, to Carol and He watching over me during my tenure at IU Dental School. Kindness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and a great great laugh! That’s what I will miss most
and look forward to again someday soon. Thank you God for sharing Dick with us and thank you for giving us the guaranteed knowledge we will be reunited with him and other loved ones we long for. After all, we all are just pilgrims passing through.

What a wonderful friend Dick was. Always ready for adventure, fun or fulfilling an opportunity to serve the Lord. He gave many hours to setting up and maintaining our phone system at YFC in the 90’s. So many great memories from Faith Church, a family vacation in Michigan, and more. Love his family too!
Mattie Neff and Diane says

I will remember Dick by the greeting he gave me every Sunday morning – a strong, firm handshake, an eager and direct gaze, and an enthusiastic “good morning Todd.” Judy and I are blessed to have known him in this life, and look forward to seeing him in heaven.
Greg (and for Lesli) Beaverson says
My heart is marked with both sadness and inexplicable joy…inexplicable, that is, for those who are yet to come to know our mutual Savior and Lord – Jesus! I look forward to racing you down a rickety, wooden dock followed by a carefree dive into some crystal-clear, refreshing waters such as we had in Northern Michigan at Crooked Lake back in the day. It’s one of my fondest memories of you. Next summer I’ll be launching myself similarly in your honor! In this relatively short, earth-side life where we begin life eternal with Jesus, you were a man who exemplified much of what I wanted to be in manhood. I have fond memories of you and your family, Dick. We will miss you, but more anticipate what is yet to come … TOGETHER!
Brian and Toni Keevil says
My heart goes out to the family, He was a kind and gentle soul. Take comfort in one another `through this troubling time, as you would rejoice with one another through happier times. You were all truly blessed to have shared in his life on earth. You will all be blessed as he opens his arms for you in heaven
My deepest sympathy

So thankful for the promise of heaven and that one day we will all be reunited with these precious ones who have gone before us. Praying the peace that passes all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John Luginbill says
“Mr. Hinkley” was an wonderful man – one of the nicest men I’ve ever known. I needed help when I opened my office, he was right there stringing data cables and setting up the communications. He was unpretentious and honest. Completely faithful. Gentle yet confident. He was also the fittest man I’ve ever known. Even into his 80’s he was strong as a bull. Here’s to remembering a great example of humble Christ-like leadership. With much love…
Mark Gayer says
